Kira O'Donnell of Sacramento Magazine recently reviewed the 2009 Story Picnic Hill Vineyard Zinfandel.

O'Donnell has this to say about this zinfandel red wine:

I liked the wine’s restraint – it’s not a big, powerful monster like some old-vine Zins – but it definitely has a lively personality, offering lots of brambly, berry-plummy flavors with nuances of cedar, tobacco and licorice.
